Working Principle of Rice Husk Dryer
Our rice husk dryers use hot air drying technology to reduce the moisture content of rice husk to as low as 1%. The process works as follows:
Heat Source
The hot air furnace burns fuels such as coal, biomass pellets, or electricity to generate heat. The high-temperature flue gas enters the mixing air chamber, where it blends with fresh air drawn in under negative pressure, creating a stable and precisely controlled drying medium—clean hot air.
Feeding System
Rice husk is evenly fed into the dryer by a feeding conveyor. Under the suction of the induced draft fan, hot air enters the rotary drum at a controlled velocity, contacting the rice husk in either co-current (parallel flow) or counter-current (opposite flow) mode.
(Note: Co-current flow is often preferred to prevent material scorching near the inlet.)
Drying Process
Inside the drum, rice husk is lifted and scattered repeatedly by lifters, ensuring full contact with the hot air. Heat is transferred by convection to the rice husk surface and by conduction into the inner layers. Moisture migrates from the inside to the surface, continuously evaporating. Meanwhile, dust collection equipment removes impurities and ensures environmental compliance.
Discharge
The dried rice husk is automatically discharged by the outlet system and can be packaged with a ton-bag packing machine for easy storage and transport.
In short, the process follows:
Feeding → Lifting & Scattering → Hot Air Contact → Moisture Evaporation → Discharging & Cooling
