Straw dryer
Straw refers to the stems of crops. There are many types of straw, mainly including corn stalks, wheat straw, rice straw, sorghum stalks, soybean stalks, cotton stalks, rapeseed stalks, bagasse, tobacco stalks, and more.
Waste straw generally has a moisture content of about 30%–50%. By drying straw, waste resources can be effectively recycled and utilized.
Uses of Dried Straw
Organic Fertilizer Raw Material – Straw is a high-quality organic fertilizer. After fermentation, it can be crushed, granulated, and directly used as organic fertilizer or fuel.
Biofuel – Straw can be processed into biomass pellets or briquettes, which can be directly used for power plant combustion.
Animal Feed – After crushing and drying, straw can be directly used as feed for cattle, horses, sheep, and poultry.
Industrial Raw Material – Dried straw can be used directly in papermaking, board production, cellulose extraction, and other industrial applications.

Working Principle of Straw Dryer
The straw dryer is designed to use hot air to dry straw.
Straw Crushing – Before drying, straw needs to be crushed by a straw crusher.
Feeding – Automatic feeding can be achieved through a feeding conveyor.
Straw Drying – The dryer drum rotates at a uniform speed under the drive of a transmission device, simultaneously tumbling the straw. Clean hot air generated by the hot air furnace (burning coal, gas, biomass pellets, or utilizing steam/boiler flue gas) fully contacts the wet straw inside the drum.
Discharging – Dried straw is discharged from the other end of the drum and sent to the finished product area via a discharge conveyor.
Note: Since straw has a relatively light bulk density, drying temperature should be controlled between 120℃–450℃, adjusted according to actual conditions.

Features of Straw Dryer
High Automation – Fully PLC-controlled system enables automatic feeding, drying, and discharging. Drying temperature, parameters, and drum speed can all be controlled via computer.
High Efficiency – Heat sources can include natural gas, biomass pellets, coal, or electricity. Continuous 24-hour operation is possible, suitable for large-scale drying.
Wide Material Range – Capable of drying corn stalks, peanut straw, cotton stalks, rapeseed stalks, bagasse, tobacco stalks, and more. Suitable for both small-scale and large-scale production lines.
Stable Quality – Equipped with Siemens motors, drum made of wear-resistant steel plate, and Siemens electronic components for reliable performance.
Environmentally Friendly – Since straw is light and generates dust during drying, the dryer is equipped with a multi-bag dust collector for effective dust collection.

Problems Our Straw Dryer Solves for Customers
Unstable Moisture Control – Our uniquely designed dryer with automated monitoring ensures stable straw moisture content by detecting and adjusting drying temperature and humidity in real time.
High Drying Cost – Through energy-saving design and automated operation, our dryer significantly reduces labor and fuel costs, improving profitability.
Tailored Production Solutions – We provide customized project planning, equipment design, installation, commissioning, operator training, and after-sales maintenance services.
Key Points to Note When Drying Straw
Temperature Control – Excessively high drying temperatures can cause carbonization. Our PLC system enables precise temperature control.
Moisture Control of Raw Materials – If the feedstock moisture is too high, it will negatively affect the drying process.
